Developed by breeding the Siamese and Persian cat breeds, the Kashmir has a large solid body, short legs and thick fur. Coat colouring is lilac-cream or chocolate, with a silky texture to touch. The Kashmir has a wide set head, short nose, thick bushy tail and closely resembles the Himalayan cat. Temperament is placid, friendly and very gentle towards humans. Brushing the Kashmir cat daily is recommended to prevent matting.
