The Maine Coon cat is one of the largest breeds of domestic cats and they are native to the North American state of Maine. Maine Coon cats generally have blue, copper and odd-eyed colour eyes. This energetic family cat is fun-loving and loyal. Maine Coon cats have lengthy, thick hair on there chests, similar to the mane of a lion. They require access to open space in a garden, though certainly do enjoy the comfort of home. Most Maine Coon litters produce two or three kittens.
