A naturally occuring breed of cat, as its name suggests the Turkish Angora originates from the Ankara region in central Turkey. The majority of Turkish Angoras have silky white coats though can also be found with blue, black, bicolour and calico. Perfectly suited to life indoors the Turkish Angora is a well-behaved, placid cat. Daily brushing is recommended to keep the coat in good condition. Often blue eyed, white coated Turkish Angoras are born deaf.
