Being the largest of all the Terrier breeds, the Airedale Terrier is named after its birthplace, the Valley of Aire in Yorkshire, England. This dog breed can be stubborn unless trained early on. The Airedale Terrier's thick coat is mainly tan in colour with a black strip down its back and neck. Their coat sheds twice a year which is the best time to get the groomers in to trim him up! The Airedale Terrier is friendly to those he knows but also makes a very good guard dog with an impressive bark.
