Australian Cattle Dogs herd cattle by nipping at their heels, meaning they have to avoid the constant danger of cattle hooves. Their coat is short and thick being commonly blue or red spotted. Due to their short coats, the Australian Cattle Dog is very easy to groom. This solid breed of working dog requires alot of exercise. The Australian Cattle Dog temperament is alert and loyal to their owner.
