The Border Terrier originates from the borders of Scotland and England, hence its name "Border" Terrier. Commonly they are used as both working dogs and family dogs, due to their friendly and loyal nature. The Border Terrier's coat is usually tan and blue with short, coarse hair. Grooming is not demanding, simply brushing once a week will do the trick.
