Bred in Germany to herd cattle, the largest of the three Schnauzer breeds is the Giant Schnauzer. TheGiant Schnauzer is a massive breed of dog as its name suggests, sporting the beard and moustache the Schnauzer dog breeds are known for. Its coat is short and wiry and usually black or pepper and salt in colour. The Giant Schnauzer is very similar in appearance to their smaller cousins the Schnauzer and Miniature Schnauzer. Giant Schnauzers are commonly seen throughout Europe being used as police dogs. Grooming should be frequent though is not demanding. Exercise is a must with the Giant Schnauzer as is posses alot of energy. Giant Schnauzers are very loyal and make great guard dogs for the family home.
