A dog breed of Japanese royalty, the Japanese Chin is sometimes mistaken for the Pekingese breed. Coat colouring is typically black / white or red / white on long, silky hair. Grooming the Japanese Chin should be done on a regular basis, though is not overly demanding. The Japanese Chin is an alert, intelligent breed that enjoys brisk exercise. Due to the low exercise requirements the Chin makes the ideal city living companion pet.
