The Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen was bred to trail hares in the Vendee district of France. These dogs exude energy and enthusiasm. They sport a rough, harsh outer coat with a thick undercoat that is primarily white with spots of orange, black, tan or grizzle (gray and white hairs). Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen are extroverted and happy in temperament.
