The Saluki is one of the first known breeds of the domesticated dog, originating from the Middle East. Their coat has a smooth soft texture and comes in many colours from black to white and even tan. Bred to hunt wildlife, the Saluki posses great stamina and carries little fat. The Saluki is also known as the Persian Greyhound, Gazelle Hound, Royal Dog of Egypt and Tazi.
