The Siberian Husky, from Siberia, was bred to pull sleds and is similar in appearance to the Alaskan Malamute, only smaller, whilst also having similar attributes to the Samoyed. They have a thick coat, usually white, grey and black in colour, closely resembling a wolf. The Siberian Husky is very energetic requiring daily exercise to prevent boredom and mischief. Siberian Huskies are still used throughout the world in sled dog racing. Due to the lack of snow here in Australia, Huskies are used to race on forest tracks pulling sleds specially designed with wheels. Siberian Huskies are alert and loyal.
