Possibly the rarest and most uncommon of the Spaniels, the Sussex Spaniel is an old slow-working breed of dog, used in England for the last 200 years. Liver is the most common colour with a long weather resistant coat. This big-boned dog has short legs and a broad skull. With a keen sense of smell and complete loyalty to its owner, the Sussex Spaniel is well suited to country life.
