Developed in Yorkshire, England during the 1800s is the Yorkshire Terrier. The Yorkshire Terrier is a toy breed of dog and with its main characteristic being a long silky coat mostly blue and tan in colour. Due to the nature of their coat, Yorkie's tend to be demanding to groom. The Australian Silky Terrier was developed with help from the Yorkshire Terrier. This dog breed is boisterous and bold by personality, and can be very hostile towards other dogs. That said, the Yorkshire Terrier is affectionate and loyal towards their owner.
